How it is made

Novo Fogo Silver cachaça is produced from freshly pressed sugarcane juice, which is fermented and then distilled. The distillation process typically occurs in copper pot stills, which helps to preserve the aromatic qualities of the spirit. After distillation, the cachaça is bottled without aging, ensuring that the fresh flavors of the sugarcane are retained.

History

Cachaça has a long history in Brazil, dating back to the 16th century when sugarcane was first cultivated. Novo Fogo was founded in 2012, focusing on sustainable production methods and high-quality ingredients. The brand has quickly gained recognition for its commitment to quality and its innovative approach to cachaça, making it a standout choice among spirits.

In cocktails

Bartenders use Novo Fogo Silver cachaça in a variety of cocktails, most notably in the Caipirinha, where it is muddled with lime and sugar. Its fresh and vibrant flavor also works well in cocktails that require a light, fruity spirit. When serving, it can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as part of a cocktail. Bartenders often recommend using fresh ingredients to enhance the natural flavors of the cachaça.
