Where cocktails come from

The books, films, bars, people and cities behind 92 cocktails, with the year and a one-line fact for each drink.

How these attributions were made: every drink was put to two AI models separately — OpenAI gpt-4o-mini and Google gemini-2.5-flash — and an answer is published only when both name the same kind of source and the same title, and neither reports a confidence below 0.6. Pairs that disagreed are held back for a person to check, so they are missing from these lists rather than guessed at. A row marked [editor-checked] comes from a history written here and was checked when it was written; a row marked [two models agreed] has not been read against a printed copy.
