Fabian's Sazerac Cocktail (New Orleans style)
A classic cocktail with rye whiskey and absinthe.

- Straight rye whiskey (100 proof / 50% alc./vol.) — 60 ml
- sugar cube — 1 whole
- Peychaud's Aromatic Bitters — 3 dash
- Angostura Aromatic Bitters — 1 dash
- Absinthe verte — 2.5 ml
- Lemon peel — 1 twist

- Rinse pre-cooled old fashioned glass with absinthe.
- Soak sugar cube with bitters in a mixing glass, muddle thoroughly and then add rye whiskey.
- Fill up mixing glass with ice and stir until cold.
- Discard excess absinthe and strain into the old fashioned glass.
- Twist lemon peel over drink and discard peel.
