- White (charcoal-filtered) 1-3 year old light rum — 60 ml
- Lemon juice (freshly squeezed) — 20 ml
- Maple syrup — 15 ml
- Paprika powder — 1⁄2 spoon
- Orange bitters — 2 dash
- Sage leaves — 4 leaf

- Use smoked paprika.
- Put aside one sage leaf for the garnish.
- Place all the ingredients into a shaker with ice.
- Shake for about 20 seconds.
- Strain into a chilled glass.
