- Rob Roy variation use equal parts (1 1/2 oz each) scotch and sweet vermouth.

- Measure 1 1/2 oz of scotch.
- Measure 1 1/2 oz of sweet vermouth.
- Combine scotch and sweet vermouth in a mixing glass.
- Stir the mixture well with ice.
- Strain into a cocktail glass.
