## Where the recipes come from

The catalogue is compiled from published open recipe collections and
normalised to one format: measures converted to millilitres, ingredient
names mapped onto one shelf of bottles, one generated picture per
drink. It is not a transcription of any single bar book, and no recipe
here has been read page by page against a printed edition. Where a
collection left a measure or a preparation step out, it was filled in by
a language model (gpt-4o-mini) from the drink and its other ingredients:
a sensible build, not a documented one.

and only their agreement was published, and every row there says whether
it was checked by an editor or is a two-model agreement. Corrections are

Recipes are static HTML with Recipe JSON-LD (ingredients, steps, ABV,
glass, garnish, timings) — no JavaScript is required to read them.

## What is generated

The drink pictures are illustrations rendered by an image model from each
recipe's glass, ice and garnish, and checked against that recipe by a
vision model. None of them is a photograph of a poured drink. The recipe
descriptions, the step wording, the ingredient entries and the holiday
collections are drafted with gpt-4o-mini from the catalogue's own data;
measures, glassware, method and ABV come from the recipe data, not from
the model. Outside English every text is machine-translated.
